As promised, here are pictures of our kitchen with the spiffy new paint job (Paint color: Homespun by Ralph Lauren). The color actually looks much deeper and richer in person.
View from the front hallway into the kitchen:
We want to purchase this beautiful entryway mirror from Target to hang on that big empty space on the wall. We used to have a mirror and a key hook hanging there, but the Target mirror would look so much nicer!
Here's a look at our cute, little kitchen from the kitchen entryway:
Jon and his dad built the ledge that the bamboo is sitting on after they tore half of the wall down. I just love that nook! Also, did you notice the shiny, new handles that I installed last week? They really dress our kitchen up.
And here is a view of the aforementioned wall. We wanted to tear that whole wall down to make the kitchen more open, but unfortunately there are water pipes running through it.
We bought that really cool leaf wall hanging on sale for $20 at Pier 1. It fits in perfectly with the ethnic/modern/organic style that we've got going on. Plus, it cleverly disguises the uneven wall surface!
This is a full shot of the kitchen from the living room:
It's tiny, but pretty! We only allow one of us to cook in there at a time because it just can't handle two people. We learned that very early on in our marriage!
And last, but not least, our cozy living room. We still need to paint in here (maybe Sunday?), but we're leaving our red accent wall. I love this room.
Also, Jon would be horrified if I didn't point out his engagement/wedding gift to himself, our Sony 60 inch SXRD 1080P television. I got a big, beautiful diamond and he got a big, beautiful t.v. Fair enough.
