Sweet Hazel is officially legal to drive in the Commonwealth of Virginia, thanks to a trip to the inspection station on Tuesday and a trip to the DMV on my lunch break yesterday for a new registration. Yes, a new registration, not a renewal of my registration. Apparently, it was so deliquent that I wasn't able to just renew it online. Awesome.
However, that did give me the opportunity to apply for a new license plate. Virginia has the largest variety of vanity tags that I have ever seen. They have something for everyone. Sweet Hazel had been sporting the tags of my alma mater since I first moved to Virginia, but it had my maiden name initials so I've been wanting to change it anyway.
Since I love Jimmy Buffett (and my car has numerous Richmond stickers on it anyway), I decided to go for the very exciting and tropical Parrotheads license plate.
Seriously, how fun is that? Now, I'm not going to give away my license tag number, because that's probably a bit dangerous, but I will tell you that it's some variation of "With Salt." You know, like a margarita? I love it! Jon is going to get a matching tag with a variant of "With Lime." We are too cute for words, no?
And speaking of Jimmy Buffett, we've got tickets for both the Philadelphia show and the Virginia show this summer! We're not even sure if we can go to the Virginia show because the first one is on the Friday before Labor Day and the second show is on Labor Day, which just so happens to be our anniversary. Unfortunately, we're supposed to leave for Mexico that weekend. The tickets are already sold out, so we figured we can just sell them if we're not able to push our anniversarymoon back a day. I cannot wait...this is going to be the best summer yet!
