Jon and I drove up to Pennsylvania this weekend for a short visit with his family. We went to a home and garden show on Saturday which gave us so many ideas for our house...you know, for when we actually have a house! It's funny how your priorities change the older you get. When I was a teenager, I couldn't fathom how buying things like lamps or faucets could ever be interesting, but now that I'm older, I just love buying things for our home. It's a shame that we only have a few rooms to work with because I'm constantly coming up with new decorating ideas!
I mentioned to my mom-in-law that I needed a new spring/summer wreath for our door (I hate having a bare front door) and she suggested that we make our own wreaths. Fabulous idea! We went to Michael's and picked out the wreaths, flowers and ribbons and worked on them Saturday night while the games were on. I've been on a lime green kick lately so I picked out a citrus-like color palette of lime green, yellow and white. And of course I chose Gerber daisies, as those are my all-time favorite flower. For having never made a wreath before (nor a fancy bow!), I think it turned out quite nice!
