How Far Along: 16 weeks and 4 days
Weekly Fruit Comparison: An avocado
The Good: Whoa, porn star boobies! (You're pretty and Jon loves you, but please stop growing now.) I was more than happy with my pre-pregnancy 32C girls, but they are getting out of control for my frame. It's hard enough finding a 32 in anything bigger than a B. Have mercy.
The Bad: I've never suffered from heartburn so I didn't know how much it sucks. Guess what? It SUCKS.
The Weird: I've always hated the song "With Arms Wide Open" by Creed. This morning it came on the radio and it made me cry. WTF?!
Best Pregnancy Brain Moment: I think it rubbed off on Jon this week. He had many forgetful moments, but I'm betting they have a lot to do with him working at the house well past 9PM every night...after working 11 hours at his day job. He's such a good man.
Currently Craving/Avoiding: I might have to get rid of this category because I never seem to have any food aversions or cravings. Though, ask me in the summer and I'll probably say I'm craving a margarita!
The Weekly Belly Bump: It might appear small to some, but consider how it looked on our cruise when I was about 8 weeks along. That, my friends, is a bump!

Also, a few people mentioned in the comments section that I'm actually a week farther along than what I've been documenting. I do know how they count the pregnancy weeks but I have a really hard time saying I'm 17 weeks when I haven't actually hit "17 weeks" until Saturday. That's why I go into the actual week plus days in the food comparison. Just a clarification!
Oh, and since we find out the gender in just one week, I thought I would do a little contest. Leave your guess in the comments and I'll randomly pick a winner from those who guess correctly. I have no idea what the prize will be but it will probably involve something lovely from Etsy.
A few things to note for your guesses:
- On Jon's side of the family, girls always come first
- My family is dominated by girls
- The Chinese gender calendar says girl
- We are hoping for a girl (but I do love the way boys adore their mama)
- We are set on our girl's name but have yet to decide on a boy's name
- I'm convinced we're having a boy just because I can't imagine I'll actually get my girl
- Jon is convinced we're having a girl, as are the grandmothers
So, what do you think?
